So what is so important about April 8, 2009. Well we are currently waiting on that day for a court date for 2 kiddos. We found out about a month ago that there were 2 boys that were coming up for adoption but we wouldn't know until after April 8. We are now 6 days out!!!!
Here is the background. The boys are Jordan and Payton ages 2 and 3. Their parental rights are going to be terminated on April 8. Right now we are waiting to see if their Grandmother is going to step up and take them. This is why we haven't really said too much. One reason is because we did not want to get our hopes up. Well we emailed our caseworker a few days ago and she finally responded last night. We just asked her what the status was so far. So far as of yesterday the grandmother still has not stepped up. She does not want them. Now she does have until the 8th to take them. After April 8 she cannot have them ever. So we have been praying, praying, praying that these 2 little boys will get to come and live with us. The reason that the boys are having their parental rights terminated is because the mother just can't take care of them. She can't keep a job, won't even get a job, she can't find housing and want try and even find housing. So she loves them but just doesn't know how to take care of them.
This past month has been a very slow month. Anxiety has filled our hearts. As many of you know we want children more than anything. But we are trying to wait on God. God knows what is best for us and best for the boys. So please keep praying for us. We are holding out for April 8. Hopefully we will know something on the 8, but it could be a few days afterwards before we know. We will keep you all posted. So please pray on Wednesday April, 8, 2009 I am not for sure the court time but pray throughout the day for these 2 precious little boys. Love to you all.
